Shijiazhuang overview

Quite small for a city in China, Shijiazhuang is a located about 300kms from the nation’s capital of Beijing and is the economic hub for the region of Heibei. With a population of just under three million, Shijiazhuang offers travellers the complete hustle and bustle, sights, smells and other distinctively unique experience in China with traffic, street side eating and small markets, and is home to a number of sites of interest to tourists such as pagodas and museums. Shijiazhuang is a great stopping of point to visit the Canyang Mountains, which is located 90kms to the west and was the set of the Oscar-winning film Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon.
