Yangshuo overview

Words are difficult to find when trying to describe the small town of Yangshuo, which is one of the most picturesque cities in all of China. Popular with backpackers seeking spiritual enlightenment, many travellers come here in order to get away from it all and to soak in the sweeping mountain ranges that surround the small city. Yangshuo has definitely gained a reputation as a tourist town in the last few years, with a large number of businesses opening up to cater primarily for travellers. Getting around the town of Yangshuo is easy, as the town can be navigated by foot. There is a small electric bus network which operates around the town at a reasonable price. Although most of the accommodation on offer in Yangshuo caters for local tourists, there are some boutique hotels situated outside of town on the hills, offering a great view of the city. Most travellers get to Yanshuo by flying to the nearest major airport in Guilin and taking an hour an a half bus journey.
